At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we launched elfelipe.com, and with it, the BOGOHO Project, a heartfelt initiative born from the simple desire to help. Before this, El Felipe was only available through Instagram, but we knew we could do more. Our very first products on the webstore weren’t about fashion; they were about giving back. Every purchase of an El Felipe Protective Kit meant help for an underprivileged family in need. Looking back, we’re incredibly proud that our journey into e-commerce started with people helping people. A reminder that El Felipe has always been more than just a brand.

Fighting the Pandemic Together

The BOGOHO Project started on May 13, 2020, with a simple yet impactful concept: Buy One, Give One, Help One (BOGOHO). Every purchase of an El Felipe Protective Kit, priced at PHP 600, enabled customers to help those affected by the quarantine restrictions. A portion of the proceeds from each kit sold went directly to funding relief packs mainly for families of displaced jeepney drivers in need.

What’s Inside the Protective Kit?

Each El Felipe Protective Kit included:

• 1 Protective Bucket Hat

• 1 Washable Face Mask with a Filter Compartment

With every kit purchased, a portion of the proceeds was donated to a family in need.

The Impact

Through the collective effort of the El Felipe community, the BOGOHO Project successfully raised and spent PHP 14,000, directly benefitting 70 families. The donations included:

• 350 packs of instant noodles

• 280 canned goods

• 140 rice packs

The project not only provided essential goods but also helped foster a sense of solidarity during an unprecedented crisis.

The BOGOHO Project was one of the first ways we used our platform for good, proving that even in the most challenging times, kindness and community can shine through.
